Could it be that by using "ghost hands" you are matching the subtle energy?
The same way we wouldn't use ghost hands to set a broken bone, or to blow our nose :)
Sort of like the level of energy we use to influence, (for lack of better word)
needs to match the level of energy (matter-whatever) we intend to influence.

Just a thought.
And, yes I haven't forgotten about the Kirlian photos, haven't gotten them scanned yet.
