There could have been about a million reasons as to why.

Perhaps it can't be done at all! is one of those.

But there are so many places and in so many ways where this could
have gone astray, its simply an experiment with too many
variables.

You got a visual input of a symbol in the form of a number that
needs translating from that system into a meaningful micro-muscle
response which matches the original data with a whole heap of
connectors in the middle which are mostly if not all of the X
variety.

If you are particularly keen on this, I'd go to look at beliefs
around the pendulum itself, its usage, your actual abilities in
that direction, purely physiological blockages, past experiences,
VOC work on your ability to know when it's the pendulum and when
you're making it doing something, - boy as I said, the variables
are just too complicated and you'd still well might be working at
the totally end of the bundle of sticks.

I would suggest a much, much, much simpler experiment with the
pendulum. Yes no with a heads/tails coin. Open in view. Then
covering the coin and noting the differences in your thoughts and
responses to start with.
