Hi Maarten and ETers,
In general, I agree with you. But I can think of instances
where "putting something in front of you" could be useful.
Imagine, for example, that you lost your job, and that
you have interviews coming up. Maybe you have
EmoTranced, EFTd, and God-knows-what-elsed
the fears, the confusions, the dreads. And then you put
all that behind you as well.
Now an interview is approaching. Why not put
"I am confident" or "I am a good worker" or
"I am calm" in front of you? Maybe it's a bit like
Gaugework in this respect. Although I am in favor
of the deep and the unconscious, I don't think
every single thing needs to be deep. Sometimes
it may be ok to trust the conscious mind and reinforce
something that you want.
I'd like to find out what happens if anyone
gives this a try.
