Thanks Sebastian for above it points to whatever Enlightenment Iam headed
to...
In Sufi circles,(iam sorry dear all..its becoming a drudge..)there is no
concept of giving up all for enlightment.In actual fact asceticism per
se,is frowned upon,a seeker is supposed to marry and have kids and be in
this world of Attachment and form.But like what the spiritual Master
says.."Coming close to God is becoming Less of Yourself.."

Whatever Asceticism ,like what Sebastian says as above,is separating at
certain special occasions a number of days for retreats at cycles of ten
days to 40 days.We have to live and be a husband or wife ,a father or
mother and whatever roles they are and do the best we can in those roles.In
the wake of all that,all the emotions related to do with those roles will
naturally come,there is no escaping that.no running in a cave will give the
enlightenment we seek.Enlightment is living to these roles and being able
to have connection with Spirit.Do I dream of a day when my whole world will
be split with some radiance from above and my whole humdrum life will be
illuminated ? Yes I do,but Ill still be in this world with my senses and
still all the wars and pain of this world around me.Just being connected in
Spirit and living all the roles of this world fully whatever space and
time.On the other end ..we have in emotrance and the likes in energy
therapy..tools to release us from all this negative charges which comes
with the roles we are undergoing and this to me also is detachment and part
of spirituality and heading towards the Enlightenment I seek.
