Hi Maarten. No...I don't think the emotion is the cause...but, it seems to
be the trigger for the pain to re-occur in some instances IF there is
already a pattern in place. I think the headaches or whatever, however they
began, have evolved into a coping mechanism somehow. In a wierd way, they
are somehow choices...patterns as you say. Avoidance? I dunno. I'm just
speculating. It's interesting that you brought up the phrase "pain in the
neck". I had one client who used the phrase "pain in the butt" ALL the time.
lol
She was in a bad car accident and in pain for two years from head to toe.
But...mostly in her "butt". . We tapped on everything you can imagine and
nothing worked. Well, no, anger at the lawyers worked a bit but that was it.
Then I asked her if she ever used a phrase like "pain in the neck" and that
s when she lit up like a candle and said "yes!" but my favorite saying is
life is a pain in the butt". So, we tapped on that belief. And after two
rounds she was pain free for the first time in two years. It was
transforming!
Hugs...Misty

hi Misty
if I'm reading you right, you assume that the emotion or belief is the
(main) cause.
I wonder about that one.
Maybe I'm saying the superfluous thing here, but headaches can also have
primarily physical or bio-mechanical causes, that need to be dealt with.
We can't assume for instance that EP changes postural patterns which can be
an important contributing factor.
And yes, husbands can be a pain in the neck too,- if not elsewhere- or so my
wife and ex-wife have told me.
