Hi there, (sorry I can't see that you mention your name)

Whilst I don't have anything specific about EmoTrance as far as promotional
material is concerned I'd like to offer some thoughts:

Firstly, you are doing just as I did when I started out, and what many
therapist do - they copy everyone else, assuming what they are doing works.
Brochures and other marketing materials have their place for sure but how
effective they are in bringing in clients has more to do with you than the
techniques you offer. For that reason I highly recommend you talk more about
the transformation you can bring about and less about the techniques you
will use to do so - at least no need to mention techniques in detail.

I'll give you an example - people don't wake up in the morning thinking 'I
hate this world, I feel crap and wish I could find an EmoTrance practitioner
to help me'! They wake up thinking 'I hate this world, I feel crap and I
wish I could find someone who understands how I feel and can bring my spark
back'. So all your 'copy' (the term used for the words in your brochures on
websites etc) needs to get across the transformation you can help bring
about. Testimonials offer a great way to demonstrate a transformation so
always include these - even ones you have achieved in any case studies you
do and those done for free.

On another point - if you use someone else's material it will have their
energy and not yours connected to it - this is reason number two for you
creating your own. Yes it takes time, but having invested both time and
money in your own development this is the next step on the journey. Please
know I am not criticising you - I've been there and done the same as you are
doing/trying to do and wish I had known all this stuff back then.

I now help therapists, coaches and other small businesses create a process
to attract a steady stream of clients. It does take time but well worth it
to build a flourishing practice. You will find some things to get you
thinking in my free report '7 Secrets to Attracting Clients ..with Ease'
which you can download here www.clientsatthedoor.com/report . You may also
be interested to hear I offer a few complimentary marketing sessions each
month. The free report tells you how you can apply for one. No risk, no
obligation, just some ideas to get you started.

By the way, well done for asking the question, a lot of people stay stuck
because they don't do just that. I'm sure you will get other replies and as
you said, other practitioner will also appreciate help from the answers this
question generates.

Best wishes,

Linda

Subject: [ET2] Promotional Material

Hi, It would really help me, and alot of other practitioners, too, probably,
if promotional material was available, such as press releases, ad copy, web
content, etc. Anything at all to help me get a practice started. It's not
always easy getting clients and so many people can benefit from EmoTrance.
Does anyone have or know of material like this we could share? Thank you!
