Thank you, Sylvia, for the wonderful explanations/explorations of the snow
globe idea. With every client I have introduced to this (quite a lot), I have
started by saying "did you ever have one of those snow globes when you were a
child, or did your children have them?" Without exception that produces a
smile and an "ah ... yes" effect, which I think is a good place to start from.
Also with regard to fairy dust, I use this on angry drivers (or indeed rude
and angry people anywhere). Sprinkling them with fairy dust, and picturing
their confusion the next time they go to do something mean, and something kind
comes out instead, keeps me smiling instead of snarling. I hadn't ever
thought of the snow as fairy dust, but what a difference it makes now I have!
