That's a classic example of a new practitioner getting cold feet and experiencing "magic failure".
The problem already starts with the idea of "letting in more pain".
It really is essential to REMEMBER THE WORDING - we are letting in some form of ENERGY.
It is truly, only energy.
If we can keep focused on that, we keep in the zone and we retain the power and magic of the process. We lose it, and helplessness ensues.
I think that a big part of learning to be a really good ETP is to note when magic failure is approaching, or to note when you're getting frightened or freaked out.
I often liken this to the catholic priest at the exorcism.
He loses the faith, and the demon will win.
So for all you young ETPs out there, take note and take heed.
MONITOR YOURSELVES for sinking feelings, stress indicators, hot head, cold hands, racing thoughts, tunnel vision and take a moment to breathe deeply and correct YOURSELF so that you're clear and steady again.
Have a glass of water nearby and take a drink. Do ET with the energy of the water to clean yourself up. Then you are a POWERFUL healer and companion again who can lend their strength to the client, and even though I hesitate to use the word, you can achieve real miracles of emotional healing.
Keep at it, keep up the good work.
You'll get better and better.
And more and more confident with every time you could either hold, or quickly regain that state of being the representative of the Creative Order, here to help establish Even Flow - with help from above.
