>>>I would like to do more energy dancing but I have never been able to dance and I feel very awkward about it. Is it really necessary to be able to do energy dancing for an ETP? <<<<
Well it's not about dancing, just movement to assist the energy flow. I like the weird movements my body comes up with. You should see me doing the snake dance!
BTW, you can do a thing of "where do I feel my not being able to dance in my body" and do a dance to release that, to bring flow into those ereas. I bet if you pay attention you find some stiffness somewhere, being locked up, tight. That's what stops the movement. Send some loving energy that way and make the bits of you that still can move make helpful movements to increase the energy flow, soften those blockages away.
I was at a New Year's Eve party in a pub this year where I didn't know anyone at all, and the music was terrible - jungle, grch!. But I thought sod it, let's make something out of this. I did "where do I feel all embarrassed and too old and too fat to be dancing in public" in my body? With that crap gone, I had THE BEST TIME. The lights got brighter, I got 200 pounds lighter and had just such a good time!
Well worth doing, reclaiming the natural joy of movement.
It's really good for your self esteem and relationship with your body overall, your confidence in yourself on so many levels.
