we have a standing joke about that one.

Well, you could say it's a joke or you could say it's a different
kind of advertising slogan that works a whole lot better for many
parts of me on the motivation front:

Before enlightenment, chop wood, carry water.
After enlightenment, lie on beach with handsome lover and suitably
refreshing cocktail.
