Creating shields as a starter

Hi all

Ever since my Ivanhoe times I was fascinated by shields.

So it was the first chapter I looked up in OeE (thanks once again for the great work, Silvia!)

I would like to elaborate on a variation, shortly mentioned my the "black hole" case.

Especially with people who are new to energy-work and have a trauma-history, I find it most helpful to first *create* a shield between the person and the overwhelming situation.

The relief is striking. It's one of the easiest way to create a "safe place", and the client feels protected by the suggestion. So it's a great rapport builder, too. The relationship feels that much safer for the client.

Then:

"Now, where do you feel that relief in your body?". Letting this relief flow through and out is a great way to introduce ET principles, and to clear some "channels".

>From there, making a tiny hole (or making the shield more transparent) and process the incoming energy is so much easier...

Come to think of it: another good intro for newbie clients with trauma history could be something like saying: "You can heal this trauma", "You can recover from this history", and work with the reactions that this brings up.

Or of course treat the bodily responses to questions, such as: "Will I ever recover from this"? But that, I believe, is not newbie work.

Any other suggestions for traumatized newbies?

Maarten
