The idea of a separate group also occurred to me as this group is set
up for the professional ETP, though we (the complete novice and
book/internet-learned ETers) are included in the "other interested
parties" catch-all. The MT-Newbies group would work as a cross-over,
except personally I know I would prefer to be reading about ET and
not BSFF and all the rest, as I am not new to MET, only to ET. But I
also am learning a lot from reading about the experiences of the
professionals, and have no doubt the experiences of novices will
provide valuable feedback to the pros. So the question really is –is
the voice of the novice expected and welcomed here?
