Thanks for the nice feedback! The new website should out-perform the old one massively as I've spent a lot of time perfecting things like sitemaps, keyword optimisations and just general usability.

We could allow people to edit their own contact information now - but I'm a bit embarrassed over the user-interface! I wrote the code in 2003 and it's due for an overhaul.

Still, having a description to edit is going to help massively with our international speakers. Our admin team are best with updating English profiles (but hand-writing can be an issue!), OK with updating profiles in latin characters but anything involving non-latin symbols is a no-go unfortunately.

It does seem like years ago now, when we sat in the lobby of the Europa discussing my new website project called SpaceNode.

Just got a few projects now to complete, like making a facebook-style default profile page, so we can slowly migrate the EmoTrance Members to having their own SpaceNode within the main emotrance website.

That'll be pretty cool, as it means people can have as many pages as they like, eg:
