Does energy travel through you entrire body?

Hi,
   
  Does energy travel through the entire of your body? I know this sounds like a stupid question but I was wondering if energy travels through the core of your body (through your organs, heart, lungs, kidneys, etc.). Not just on the outer surfaces of your body.
