I'm very happy with mine thank you and if it wasn't for my conscious
mind I wouldn't be anywhere near the enlightened being I am today...>
hear. hear. ! this is one of my pet gripes. i wince when i hear about the "quiet mind. " even. it skips a very human and individual step, and wonder if this kind of meditation, a predominantly masculine creation,
doesn't rely on group matching energy and specifically on women , the historical non official meditators, (some one has to make dinner).
and, i've been helped a lot by various meditations, including with guru muktinanda, who's weekend long meditations in california, in 1976, helped me significantly just after my mother died. i even have a lovely guru name he gave me (while looking like he was reading from a piece of paper, list?) which is kamala, means lotus. or, as his interpreter (a young woman and recipient of his guru- ness, with her brother, after he died) insisted with her feisty affect, A lotus. ( i heard her speak when she then was the guru, and missed the feisty a lot.)
i find with et there is, at long last, a valid, inclusive and very human alternative.
thank you nicola, talking to you always helps me bring my feeling and thinking more together, and begin to express this. i've often thought about the above, but have never before tried to verbalize it out loud, which makes eons of difference.
