It is important to me because I try and tell people things, show people things, and it often seems as though they don't get it, or they forget about it as soon as their back is turned, in one ear, out the other, with not a trace left behind.

The quote gives me hope that something does change. That even if it isn't now or immediately obvious, that something has been accomplished and I'm not just wasting my time.
