By all means!

Well what I do with people is to talk with them, to investigate with them.
WITH them, being the operative word.
I'd say something like, "So you got this ring around the throat problem,
and now you're thinking you're going to not be able to breathe, pass out
and die. That's an old problem with the respective old thoughts to go
with it. When it happened, that's what you thought. Probably rightfully
so. Must have been absolutely terrifying.
"Now we can speculate all day about chords around the neck during birth,
or whether it was a childhood game that went wrong, or some abuse of
some kind, but where would that get us?
"So what do YOU want to do? Meditate? Cool. That's always good against
fear. What sort of meditation would you find particularly soothing right
now?"
Here's the thing.
When you are supposed to approach "a thing" in therapy, you immediately
think that you will go back there, it will happen again.
Let me re-phrase that.
You don't think that.
It is some sort of a reality, body mind and spirit.
When a therapist comes along and says, "Ok, let's tune into the ring
around the neck" IT BECOMES.
Terrifying. You kick backwards, struggle away from THAT with everything
you've got. Naturally, automatically and regardless of whether you spend
your whole life inventing easy-to-use therapies and KNOW that you're
fairly safe here - or not.
Personally, I have dragged people through that fear by sheer authority
in the past; but I kind of dislike that. The ends don't always justify
the means.
What I prefer to do is to build up an evidence procedure set with OTHER
issues, like a portfolio for that person. Starting with little things,
little successes, so that a person gets to gain some experience with
this and how much better things are when you get over something, resolve
something.
At the same time, I always like to step up the courage factor; it is
really important that all of us, not just the clients, get to understand
that fear is an energy reversal just the same. ANY fear handled improves
a person's ability to handle any fear.
In the end you get a scenario where the courage outweighs the fear; and
then the person is still shitting themselves but they'll bravely step
forward and present themselves for treatment.
That's what happened with the Gatwick Guitar thing for me. I finally got
up to a point where my desire for change outweighed the fear of going
"there" and took the leap of faith.
That's when a person says, "Let's do this thing. I'm scared witless,
shitless, I'm trembling but I'm ready to do it. Let's do it NOW."
That's client avidity.
That's the place to be always to go forward into any form of therapy or
healing, because then you are both on the same page and you get powerful
results.
The skill and art is to get a person there, to that "forward or to hell
my friend" place.
It's their energy system. Not a darned thing will move if they don't let
it, if they're not into it. Not like surgery in that way.
And I tell you I LOVE THAT. I LOVE IT. I love the fact that we might not
have control over our bodies but by jolly we do have control over our
own energy systems - that's "client power".
That's the EmoTrance "client-practitioner dance".
Very empowering.
Even the knowledge that it is YOU who holds the key, the permission, to
resolve the thing - or not.
Fascinating topic.

First of all, we have the really BIG stuff. That's the first port of
call. The real agonizing gut wrenching stomach churning throat closing
head crunching tear jerking misery.
Quite unmistakable for anything else!
That's where you roll around on the carpet, sobbing, until you can start
to chant, "ITS ONLY AN ENERGY ITS ONLY AN ENERGY ..."
Heart healing posture.
Breathe.
ITS ONLY AN ENERGY.
Things begin to calm, flow away.
If you keep at it, especially with the Heart Healing and the breathing
in between letting things flow, healing things, you'll feel a whole lot
better after such an attack.
A whole lot clearer and calmer.
That's those.
Then we have the "swooping waves out of nowhere".
You're doing any old thing and it comes swooping in.
Before EmoTrance, one thing would have led to the other and eventually
we would be back writhing on the carpet with no way out!
But the "swooping waves" are PERFECT candidates for EmoTrance.
Whether the whole thing "falls on you" all of a sudden or it rises up
from the center of your stomach or whatever, because there's the
MOVEMENT you can go with it and just encourage it, don't fear it, let it
wash through if it needs to do that.
The first time you get that right and a swooping wave just washes
straight in, through and out and you're left with this incredible
clarity and calm in *milliseconds*, that leaves you speechless and gives
you a whole new insight into what emotions are when it all works as it
should.
The next form of occurrence is the "sharp painful stabs".
Thoughts can cause that, or seeing someone in the street who looks like
them, or something on the telly - but again, as these stabs are stabs,
they INSTANTLY give you the location and you can put your hands there,
ITS ONLY AN ENERGY, and soothe it on the spot.
Then we got the "thought loops".
You start thinking about something, probably even pleasant or guiding
starrish to do with the topic, and hop! We're on the train to
Painsville, Tennessee. Again. One thing leads to another and another and
another ...
Most without even noticing, at that.
But at some point, you do become aware you're on that train again.
You start thinking "fool thoughts".
"I'll never find love again ..."
"I am doomed to unhappiness ..."
"I am completely unlovable ..."
The first few times, that goes on until you find yourself rolling on the
carpet and you have to do the full Heart Healing works.
But after a few repetitions, you get to come to know the main stops on
that train journey to the carpet rolling and you recognise them.
When you recognise you're having fool thoughts, that's when you STOP.
Now you can do some Heart Healing, or if there's already pain involved,
treat that, or do a snow globe with all those stupid thoughts, or even
EFT if you want to.
It is *truly amazing* to me how easy it actually is to get out of a fool
loop once it has been recognised as such and you've stopped the train.
Lastly, there's the directionality of OTHER ENERGIES.
Thinking towards, evoking OTHER energies, healing energies.
That's the step in Energy Magic, where energy nutrition becomes the
REMEDY for your states of disturbance.
"So, I'm going to bed now. The last thing I need is to think sad,
romantic thoughts about X. Hm. What would be the perfect healing energy
for me right now so I sleep well and delightful?
"Oooh ... I think I'd like somewhere snug. It's snowing outside ..."
Tuning towards things, energies, events, people OF YOUR CHOICE happens
when you're basically stabilising and no longer in high disturbance.
That's the last part of the treatment.
Put them all together and hey presto! 15 years of misery are not being had.
When you do these things, you experience immediately an amplitude effect
- the incidences of disturbance become less severe and further apart.
That then motivates even more pro-active behaviour in and of itself.
Is that cool, or what?
I certainly think so!
Cheers!
Silvia :-)
PS. The above pattern also works a treat with bereavement, which is
another form of love pain.
