Hi Silvia and all,
Yes indeed it makes total sense and the creed i try to stick to when using ET.In my earlier "back and shoulder pain" caused from an Epileptic attack I went into that as I will this one when it finally happens.I looked in that case for the emotional link and once we melted it the pain vanished. Will that happen in this new case is anyones guess? The unsubstantial backbone strength that mention seems to ellicit a "pressure response" is the link into the spirit somehow is just a manifestation of internal weaknes and insecurity and anyones guess from where? Whehter or not we get pain relief remains to be seen? Thanks
Don

Subject: RE: [ET2] Too much feeling
Hi Silvia and all,
I have a friend who will drop by tomorrow for a ET session. For many
months now she has had terrible backache problems that do occasionally
shift. The pains over time change in intensity and feeling. As you may
recal from the other post I made this week, I have worked on back pains
before very successfully with ET but this one is quite different.I have
tried on a preliminary basis to ellicit a "feeling" that might be
associated with the pain to no avail. The only thing that seems to get
her going is the mention of her slumping weak spine and unsubstantial
backbone/spine/back.I think this will be the chink in the armor but
still unsure? Will keep in touch so others here can benefit if it turns
out or doesnt?

Well it is important to note that ET is NOT for physical pains.
There are good reasons for that, and many at that.
ET heals "the spirit", or the energy system, if you want, and back pain
might have physical components.
To focus on the EMOTIONAL COMPONENTS of her situation would be my choice
of approach for this.
When it did it start? Did something happen? Where did you feel THAT in
your body?
The "feelings" we are dealing with are non-physical in origin, so a
"hard" back pain (because muscles are torn, discs have slipped, sinews
got overstretched, an infection took hold etc) isn't within our brief,
and as an ETP we must be clear on what kind of "feelings" we are dealing
with to hold the attention and focus that is required to heal the ENERGY
SYSTEM, and NOT slide off into trying to alleviate physical pain from
the physical systems.
*IF* that should happen (pain relief or cessation) AS A RESULT of what
we are doing exclusively with the energy system, fine. Great. But that's
not the point.
We are the "spirit specialists" and most likely the only champion for
the energy systems of the human totality that a person is ever going to
meet, because even those older forms of "energy therapies" ALWAYS look
over their shoulder to "heal arthritis" and "repair the body", which
isn't what energy healing is for, in my opinion.
It's that "looking over the shoulder" movement towards the physical that
dilutes the effectiveness on the energy system.
Does that make some sense?
