On Saturday night, I was at this party, where a very nice young
gentleman said sadly that he was dyslexic and stupid, and couldn't read
and write properly.
Now I try to leave all healers and therapists hats at home, firmly under
lock and key, but I noticed he indicated briefly with the left hand to
his left temple when he made that comment.
I couldn't help myself.
"Where do you feel this dyslexia stupidity in your body the most?" I
enquired and he immediately put his hand back on his left temple. It
being "that sort" of a party, it seemed ok to ask if he wanted a spot of
healing for that, and he happily agreed.
It was very informal, I was just standing there with my fingertips on
the side of his head, when I noticed an energy flow up and over and then
down his spine, with a blockage a handswidth above the middle of the
lower back.
I rubbed that spot when the young man turned around in surprise and
said, "Hey how did you find that? That's where I've had a chronic
inflammation in my spine for years."
I thought that this was incredibly interesting. Which came first, the
chicken or the egg? The problem in the spine or the dyslexic block in
the left temple?
They were linked and it turned out that there was some really serious
trauma in his childhood, around the time when - surprise, surprise ... -
children at school learn to read and write, age 5-6.
As this was a party and not some sort of therapy thing, I just finished
the energy healing of the spine locus and gave a few suggestions to
warming, softening and flowing that sensation in the head when he was
trying to read or write something and to relax about it, which I think
went in and were gratefully received.
As an aside, after some years of EmoTrance I didn't ask where it wanted
to go on this occasion because I was trying to be as surreptitious and
non-chalant about it as possible, and because I could clearly FEEL the
disturbed channel over the head and down the spine terminating in this
majorly disturbed erea in his back.
Something to look forward to for the younger practitioners amongst us,
namely how immensely extra-sensory acuity improves when one has asked a
few hundred people and learned from direct feedback what is intuition,
and what is just guesswork.
Real energy healing is a fine thing. Easy, friendly, respectful and very
useful for that different perspective for a change from "I was just born
stupid and there's something wrong with me".
>From that to "damn, of course, there was a huge upheaval when I was just
starting to learn to read and write and that's why ..." in around 3 1/2
minutes.
Not bad, really :-)
Energetic waves in party colours,
SFX :-)
