Hi
Can I just add something here ...
That even though we only treat emotions with ET, we should also remember that energy responds instantly to thought, and that wherever there are symptoms, there is blocked energy.
So, when we have a pain, and we use our intention to soften it, we are softening the blocked energy at that place, which then responds and flows as it does with emotions.
Releasing the blocked energy of a physical symptom, creates relaxation there which in turn promotes the healing processes.

  Hi Karen,

We don't treat physical pain with EmoTrance, ever, it was not created to do
that, only to deal with emotions.

So when I get hurt or do something stupid which may result in pain I deal
with the nausea that stubbing my toe may produce or the annoyance at having
contracted flu which has wrecked my plans.

We are working on different levels here which may or may not have an effect
on the physical body but we are dealing strictly with the sensations within
  the body that emotions create.

And yes I have found that in certain circumstances after EmoTrancing the
emotions the pain has brought up that I do feel the pain differently or at
least see if differently but that is without directly working on the pain
  itself.

And another thing to remember is that a stressfree body heals quicker, we
don't know the mechanics of how our bodies heal themselves but we can assist
by reducing the stress that emotional disturbances cause and let it get on
  with what it does best.

    Hi folks,

I realize I'm just starting to learn this stuff, so I don't have any
established patterns to draw on in emergency situations.. Today I
pulled something in my back and was in excruciating pain for about an
hour before it subsided. The pain was so diffuse that I couldn't even
tell where to focus my attention. It radiated all over my back and
    front.

So during this time I'm thinking of how to focus my energy, and
because it was such an acute stress I didn't expect much, but still I
just kept putting the intention there to let the energy move how it
wanted to. That was about all I could think of to do, so I trusted
    it.

That helped me to not tighten up against the pain but let it soften,
and I kept shifting positions because the pain kept changing, so I
was just sort of following it around. Probably the Ibuprofen and
Arnica helped the pain more directly, but I bet that focus helped me
deal with the pain in some other ways.

I'm not sure if that would be considered ET, but that's all I could
do. Any comments on that? How do others handle acute pain situations
using ET or EFT? (at that point, there was no place on my body I
wanted to actually tap, and I didn't have the concentration to tap
    mentally).

So far I'm reading about ET in terms of "where do you feel that in
your body".. but for sensation/pain that's already quite
physiologial, do you work with it in a similar way?

    Thanks,
    Karen
