Nice reply Irene. I am in accord with what you say.
I would, however, in the spirit of assistance make just a little point. If you want to really get the gold from this opportunity look to your own veiled threat in your final words. It is a choice, of course, to say you will withdraw if this sort of attitude keeps going but there's some double think going on here. You want to respond to 'disgusted' without attack and yet you are attacking the attackers. Nice if you could manage it but if you look at it you will see it isn't going to serve you.
As another option you could form an intention to lead a change of attitude, to nurture everyone's confidence, whatever, etc, etc. It is not the only option to see something unserving and decide to turn away from it. It's not wrong of course but may not serve you any better than staying to witness.
There's also the idea that to see attack you have to be in that same place yourself. Instead of attack, another person in a place of security might just see some therapists with confidence issues. It need not be seen as error. It just is. And what it is, is down to the observer.
Now, of course, I have to look to myself to see if I am truly observing and assisting here or if I, too, am offering a veiled attack on you :-)
Well, we have the tools to do this :-)

  This group has the potential to be a great learning place, for all of
  us, but it will require tolerance and patience, and a willingness to be
  of assistance to those who perhaps need some information (whatever way
  that need is expressed). I, and I am sure many others, have a personal
  creed or philosphy that "I will make every effort to ensure I do
  nothing that will harm others" - and so I suspect that there are those
  in this group, myself included, who will eventually withdraw if this
  sort of attitude keeps going, because I really don't want to expose
  myself to unnecessarily negative energy.
