Right, here's a perfect example for an application.

Since I can't remember when, I have always been fascinated with hot
glass - glass blowing, glass sculptures, glass mosaics and all things
glass.

It came along tonite yet again and with it the total impracticality of
buying all the (very heavy duty professional big and dangerous)
equipment required to make this work, installing it, learning its
usage and all the rest. God real life is so depressing! So
limiting!!!! Aaaargh!!!!!!!!!

Anyway, so I made a special snow globe for glass. All the things I've
always wanted to make, all the conflicts, all of it. A real long
standing heart's desire. And how perfect for it to go into a "snow
globe" of all things - by the time I was done it was a collectable
paper weight instead ;->

It is actually quite extraordinary in hindsight how long I've wanted
to make glass sculptures and how badly. It was quite a revelation just
in and of itself to finally admit it, to lay aside all the "yes but
it's completely impractical, completely non-sensical, completely
impossible ..." JUST FOR ONCE AND JUST ADMIT IT THAT I REALLY WANTED
THIS.

That I *still* really want this.

The snow globe is ready and I shall hand it over now - live online
LOL.

Well that was something.

For a split second before handing it over there was a thought of
wanting or needing "translucent colour, living light, to hold in my
hands". Which made me feel immensely sad but immediately went away and
also, all other sense of feeling sorry for myself on account of not
having ever had this thing, all those years of desire denied.

<runs out of things to say on the topic>

LOL. Yes I recognise that state when you've successfully handed
something over.

Gonna do some IS editing now,

cheerio all,

SF
