> How is everyone else doing with the snowglobe thing?
Well I just had a very strange "effect" which I am attributing to
the "snowglobe" cause.
I also put a person and then later, a whole HUGE collection of
relationship contortions into the globe. Tonite I was watching a
movie and found myself, extremely unusually if not absolutely
unheard-offly, whooping and catcalling one of the actors - just
completely delighted and honestly admiring the guy.
I didn't even notice I was doing something really unusual until
the other people in the room said, "What on earth has gotten into
you?! You been drinking or something???"
And with hindsight, what was absent was "all the 1 Million reasons
as to WHY I shouldn't like this character." thrown over the
enthusiasm with grim brutality in order to extinguish the
pleasure.
I just liked him, end of story. Now that is way, way weird and
also, very nice indeed.
He just delighted me, there and then and there was no immediate
dampeners thrown over the whole experience to talk me out of
having it. And also, it was not at all as though I was unaware of
what would have previously caused the dampeners - that was still
there, kindof "as read". But it wasn't important that the guy was
quite unreal (also aware of that), the actor himself had nothing
to do with the role (aware of that) and definitely not marrying
material (also a given).
But there was this *space* to just enjoy and admire and to have
fun, to feel good.
Which I did. And which was really quite amazing.
There might be hope for us all ...
