Yeah. Handing over control for one thing. Which, when you can get
your fists to unclench (!!) is an active act of faith in one's own
energy system and in my opinion, at the very least a general
statement that one is willing to step into the flow and have some
trust, at last.
There's a whole lot more I'm pretty sure that we can do with our
hands and energy, quite apart from painting reiki symbols in the
air, or using them to spin our opponent's chakras in the opposite
direction to weaken them, or making "the ancient gestures of
warding off" when unwanted things come our way, or genuflection,
for that matter.

Just thought I might mention that when we did the handing over of
the GS's, in order to have some kind of conscious "handle" <g> on
the processes, I used the metaphor of having the entire memory in
a snow globe. Or the entire person, one one occasion.
Not strictly energy talk but it helped make conscious sense of
what was going on.
