I spent a lot of time poking around back in the dusty past on the Meridiantherapy list, and also want to welcome those in the future. I think this will be a different but equally wild ride after 800 digests!

I am just home from the first US practitioners training with Susan Courtney. I am still completely in love with EmoTrance, and it was extraordinary to watch that process happen with others. The amazement and delight of realizing what is happening, and the possibilities dawning. Incredible watching all that light up people's eyes.

(Silvia, in fairly short order there will be chaos in the kingdom, with those of us who have found our personal energy work grail coming to storm the castle, demanding the right to pass the magical tests and be dubbed worthy as trainers.)

It was an oddly mixed experience. Delight to see old friends, and meet new ones, and to watch the changes I see in myself starting in others. I was also still trying to adjust to those new changes EmoTrance has already brought --my energy level is still changing, so too much energy went into paying attention to the adjustments still needed in sleep, food, exercise habits. I would have liked to be more available for deeper discussions etc., but it was (almost) enough to be with people who were getting it --and of course Susan who has indeed fully gotten it.

Assisting meant that I didn't get to do most of the exercises with partners, since I was trying to help make sure the participants knew what to do, etc. The fun of doing the work itself was so tantalizingly close. I did get to work with a couple of amazing people.

(and I should apologize to Susan for completely losing all awareness of the group while doing the closing exercise of invoking "innocent energy". My partner and I went completely away from ordinary reality, and held up the closing circle --I was shocked to look around and see that the seating was changed. Or that the room was still there for that matter.....)

All of us lucky enough to be there thank Joan Hitlin for all the work of organizing the location and logistics, etc., and Susan for coming so far and teaching so well. Silvia, I wish you could have been there to see your baby take a few more steps.....
I think it's on it's way to a robust toddlerhood already.

And that is my first post to the new group. Unbelievably thrilled to be here!

(hello to all you Berkeley friends!!!!)

Love to you all,
Debbie Phillips, writer and EmoTrancer
(yes, the other goals and titles are still there, but those are the core right now)
